About Food Bank
Food Band is a organization that provide foods with people who need them.
A lot of people come there every weekday.
There are some kinds of day. Family day, couple day and single day.
If people live with more than 3, they can come to Food Bank on family day.
Like this, in couple day , people who like with someone come there.
In single day, people who like by themselves come there.
This organization has many staffs and volunteers.
They work at Food Bank to help people who need foods.
My duties
1, Sorting
I separate good foods such as vegetables, fruits and bad them.
This is the main work for me because I spent much time in this area.
Some of vegetables and fruits was getting bad and smells were not good.
And they were softy. I believe that we can’t eat them!!
In this area, I could learn a lot of English words about foods. For example, brussels sprouts,
squash, leek, beet and so on.
2, Making hampers
Do you know what hambers are? They are bags that are in many foods such as dry pasta
and foods, cereal and so on.
I packed foods in the hampers.
3, Packing eggs
In Food Bank, there are a lot of eggs. I picked up good eggs (don’t be broken), and packed
other packages.

Favorite things
1, Misako’s Birthday
Misako became 20 years old in October 19th.
Staffs and volunteers gave her message card and birthday cake.
I helped the staff to prepare them.
I hope that she is happy!!

2, Going out with friends
I hung out with friends after fieldwork.
I went to Tim Hortons, McDonald’s and so on.

Summary
I worked at Food Bank for 7 weeks every Wednesday and Thursday.
I could communicate with staffs and volunteers.
I learned a lot of things in Food Bank.
I ‘m glad to be able to do volunteer in Food Bank!
